Mirscience Therapeutics is a precision medicine start-up that develops therapies for lifelong illnesses, such as the ones that cause fraily and muscle atrophy; metabolic like non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NASH), and cancer.

Using their MIR-Discovery platform, the company acts by discovering and developing MicroRNA molecules- a small endogenous RNA molecule found in our organism with many roles in various physiological functions and in emerging diseases- as potential and specific  therapeutic targets for each disease. Currently, the company acts with the development of a therapy that target MURF-1 and Atrogin-1. Both targets are responsible for atrophy and muscle frailty in diseases like sarcopenia, caquexia induced by cancer, and muscle atrophy related to orthopaedic lesion. 

Our molecule shows, during pre-clinical tests, an anti-atrophic effect, hypertrophy and functional improvement of the skeletal muscle.
